Enjoy a stroll to the very heart of Venice, the St. Marks Area where you can see the Basilica and Doges Palace as well as the surrounding area such as admiring the Bridge of Sighs. Later on, you can explore some of the most beautiful corners of the St. Marks District in true Venetian style – by Gondola. This gentle cruise will introduce you to some of Venice’s most beautiful minor canals.
You can also take a water taxi out to any of the three principle islands of Venice – Murano, Burano or Torcello, to visit some of the factories and places where the lace and glass are produced to learn more about these age old techniques including witnessing a glass blowing demonstration.
Venice is also known for it's elegant carneval that takes place every year near the end of February. Characteristic masks can be purchased almost everywhere but you can also take part in a mask making class so you can take home a priceless souvenir.
