The Wine museum located inside the Falletti Castle in Barolo should not be missed. Located in the heart of this wine country, the castle and scenery provide the setting for a perfect day. The visit inside the museum demonstrates the importance of wine and its effect on our culture. From the second floor’s panoramic terrace of the castle there is the amazing view from where panoramic photographs of the “Langhe” hills and vineyards can be taken. Continue down to the ancient cellars where you will find the place where this wine was born during the 19th century.
This museum represents the 11 wines from all the Barolo-producing towns of the Langhe area. Explanations are given regarding production, the culture and the traditions of one of the world’s most famous wines. All wines are available for tasting and purchase in the Regional winery at the end of the visit.
