Olive Oil and Wine Tasting
Olive Oil tasting at a 17th century Villa in Bologna
Take a tour of one of Bologna’s oldest villas while learning all about the production of olive oil. The late 17th century Villa is located on the hills of Bologna and offers the only 180 degree panoramic view of the city, including the historic center and San Luca. The owners of the villa reside on the property and are proud to share their home with you while explaining their valued olive oil production.
The tour of the villa includes:
– 1 half liter bottle of organic olive oil for each guest
– Guided visit of the Villa, including the olive groves, weather permitting
– Guided olive oil tasting in order to highlight the different qualities and organoleptic characteristics
– Rich buffet with local and organic products
Following the Olive Oil Tour, your journey will continue to the wine tour.
You will be taken to one of the most beautiful wineries in the outskirts of Bologna. The Emilia-Romagna region has many different wines to offer, including those that are DOCG (guaranteed denomination of origin) such as Sangiovese and Pignoletto. You will take a private tour of the cellar and learn about the local grapes that produce these delicious wines. Following your tour, you will be able to sample each of the wines produced at the winery.
Tasting of 3 local wines – Pignoletto, Sangiovese DOC superior and Sangiovese Reserve – all accompanied by local products.
